Privacy statement

In this privacy policy we explain how we collect, use and protect your personal information. This privacy policy applies to all personal information that we process when you visit our website, book a course with us, use our online tools or come into contact with us in a different way.

Who are we?

We, Work Progressive Ltd (hereafter referred to as SSI-UK), are the UK Country partners of Semco Style Institute (hereafter referred to as SSI) located at Parijsboulevard 209, 3541 CS Utrecht, The Netherlands. SSI UK manages, among other things, the website semcostyle.co.uk. SSI manages, among other things, the websites semcostyle.com and ecosystem.semcostyle.com.

Which personal data do we collect and what do we use them for?

Personal data are all data that can be traced to you as an individual. Just think of your name, phone number, address or e-mail address. Information like your IP address or your answers to our organisation scan can be considered personal data, too. SSI collects the following data, depending on your interaction with us:

Data for processing your registration
If you book a training course with us or register for an event, we will ask you for your (business) contact details and invoice details. We sometimes ask for your position and the department where you work to be able to match the content of the training as well as possible to the participants’ circumstances.

Data to provide our services
When your employer purchases an in-company training at SSI or buys consultancy services from us, we collect names and business contact details of the participants in the training, or the team members involved in the consultancy assignment. We collect this information to inform you about the progress and to be able to send you ‘homework’ or documentation. Sometimes we use the information to invite you to participate in our Organisation Scan (see below).

Data in your account
When you create an account at ecosystem.semcostyle.com, we store your name, company name and email address, and social media accounts (if you specify them). We keep this information as long as the account exists, or until no one has logged into the account for three years or more. If you want an account to be deleted earlier, you can do so by sending an email to privacy@semcostyle.org.

Profile information of certified consultants
If you have followed an Expert Programme with us, we will save your name, contact details, certification date and information about your knowledge and experience. If and only if you give us permission to do so, we use this information to put you in touch with customers who are looking for certified Semco Style consultants with a certain background.

Data from the Semco Style Organization Scan and the Quickscan
When you answer the questions in the Organization Scan or the Quickscan, we use your answers to send you a personalized report. We use the general questions about, for example, industry or company size for statistical analysis. The data from the Quickscan is anonymized after 3 months – that is, we delete your name and contact details and only retain the answers for statistical analysis. If you have participated in the Organization Scan, your data will be saved for the agreed-upon period of time with your employer. This makes it possible to measure the extent to which your answers change over time. After the agreed storage period, the data will be anonymized; we use the remaining data for statistical analysis.

Data from surveys
After a training or event, we ask participants for their opinion on services delivered. We use this information to improve our services. We retain your answers for 1 year; then the data is anonymized so that we can continue to use it for quality monitoring. Sometimes we place answers from these surveys on our website; We only do this if you give us explicit permission for this.

Information that you share with us yourself
When you fill in a contact form on the website, for example to ask a question, we keep this information to be able to handle your request. Comments that you leave on our website are stored so that other web visitors can read them. We keep this information until you ask us to delete it.

With whom do we share your personal data?

We only share your information with parties that help us deliver our services. These are primarily trainers we hire, but also other external service providers such as financial service providers (for processing our administration and sending invoices), web builders, and people who help us with marketing. We enter into data processing agreements with all these parties, and we only share information with those parties that they need to do their work.

View, modify and delete your personal data

You have the right to request access to the personal data that we have collected about you. At any time. You may do this by sending an email to support@semcostyle.co.uk. You can also do this if you want us to correct your data because they are incorrect or out of date. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by SSI. If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, you can indicate this by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the mailings you receive from us. For all your other questions about your personal data, please send an email to support@semcostyle.co.uk.

Protection and storage of your personal data
